 | Canon PIXMA MP560 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Photo Printer (3747B002)
Another good product from Canon -- 2010-03-09 There was no hesitation in my mind when I bought this printer since I already own quite a few Canon products. As expected, it is fantastic. The setup is really easy and less time consuming. Even a non tech savvy guy can set it up along with wireless etc. I kind of like the functionality they have put into the small LCD screen on the printer. Quick and easy selections, and equally quick and good quality printouts/copies. Pretty good value for money. Just love the photographs it prints on photo-paper! Superb image processing techniques for getting the best out of your picture. And all this for a really cheap price. I would surely recommend this product to anyone who cares for the quality of prints and wants a wire free environment. Good going Canon.
Great Printer -- 2010-03-09 Easy to set up and use. Print quality is really good. Wireless set up is a breeze.

 | Canon PIXMA MX870 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer (4206B002)
Great machine, possible driver conflicts -- 2010-03-07 I love the machine. I have started having Microsoft Office WORD and OUtlook crashing errors since the printer was installed. Do not know why, but that the the last change to the machine.
Great AIO especially for Macs -- 2010-03-05 Canon PIXMA MX870 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer (4206B002)
I set up my new Canon Pixma MX870 last night. Took me 30 minutes to setup the printer and install on both my iMac and MacBook. Both Mac's run Mac OS X 10.4.11. I did have a hard time selecting a brand. I normally buy only HP printers but after my last AIO deskjet 6200 decided to breakdown again and the wireless deskjet 6800 worked only 1/2 the time I wanted to try a Canon or Epson. I will admit, I haven't owned a Canon printer since my old bubblejet from 1994. But it lasted until new OS's would no longer support it. I decided to buy the MX870 instead of the MX860 since I have read on several different sites that the 870 solves plenty of issues plagued by Mac users and has a better print speed. I also read that the MX860 was slow to start. Well, my MX870 was pretty quick starting up and gives a quality print. The wireless is awesome. Much easier to install than my last HP. I haven't tried printing any photos just yet. I am happy to see that there are 5 separate print cartridges. This printer is a great value for the money. I will say that if printing high quality photos and CD/DVDs is important to you, you should go for the Epson Artisan 810 instead. However, if you want a quality AIO without breaking the bank, choose the Canon Pixma MX870.

In response to the last post.... -- 2010-03-09 I mean this post in the nicest, polite way...intended to help only...the math below (as of now) is incorrect...he took 500/$300 to get $1.67..this calculation is not set up right..also, $14*5=$70, not $75...so it would be 500/$280 in his example....which equals $1.79 a page...even though the ink is NOT this expensive (I just bought all 5 a few days ago - total was $53.48 on Amazon...free shipping too)....so even if this only does 125 pages like the guy says...the correct math would be ($53.48*4)/500 -- total expense / total pages, not the other way around...which equals about 43 cents a page for ink.....I still doubt VERY much that it is anywhere near this high....to look at this another way...$1.67*500 pages = $835! Impossible...
So far everything is great with this Canon...I would definitely recommend it to someone I know. I also received this from Amazon much faster than expected..which was awesome!
Ink Consumption will empty your retirement saving!! -- 2010-03-09 Pros: Like my prior Canon AIO, this unit is feature rich. It's a great multi-purpose unit for a SOHO. And yes, as others have said, the setup can be improved but the wireless access works great.
Cons: One (very big) complaint - it GUZZLES ink!! 4 sets of ink in less than 1 ream (500 pages) of paper. 90% printing is text with color, 4% mid-quality graphics and 1% photos. Tech Support says duplex uses more, but I've disabled this - see no change!
Summary: Honestly, it's a wonderful printer but there's no way to justify given the ink consumption. Canon charges ~$15 per cartridge (w/S&T) x 5 colors, so a full replace set costs $75. Based on 4 sets per ream of paper, the average per page cost is a whopping $0.67! REALLY!?!?! BTW, Canon really doesn't want you to know the cost per page, as they don't provide a page counter in the printer.
In short, be very leary of these $.05-.10 per page claims [...]. Your mileage will vary (significantly!).
Until Canon can fix this - DON"T BUY THIS PRINTER - your wallet will be emptied.
P.S. Profs to "STLtechFAN "STL" for showing me that someone does actually read these posts!!

A Great Printer with Some Software Issues -- 2010-03-09 I bought an entire new computer system, including this printer. I like that it is wireless, makes copies, scans, and prints double sided.
After two weeks of use it somehow just disappeared from my computer as a printer option. I had to call the Geek Squad and have them walk me through re-installing it ... the CD setup that comes with it was for Windows Vista or XP only. I have Windows 7.
After several months of perfect use, it disappeared again but this time I called HP where they gave amazing customer service. The person was on the phone with me for over 45 minutes and walked me through everything I needed to do until she was able to take remote access. She upgraded the software for Windows 7 and 'fixed' the issue.
The printer itself is great ... I love that it will print double sided without having to manually flip the paper (though you can do it this way still). It does take forever to print double sided though - since the ink has to dry before it prints the second side. But it's an awesome feature.
I've used the copy feature several times and it is quick and simple. I haven't had the opportunity to use the scanner portion yet.
Overall I really like this printer and would definitely buy it again if I needed an other printer.
Great for the price -- 2010-03-05 I bought this printer at Best Buy for only 100.00 on sale. To get a wireless printer for 100.00 is incredible. I had wanted one for so long but they were still so high in price. Its a wired wireless if that makes sense. The printer must be connected to your router by a cat 5 cable at all times and there is a setup that you have to go through with your computer using a USB wire directly connected to the printer but then after that setup is finished it is 100% wireless to all the computers in your home that have wireless. The quality of the printout is great and it is very quiet while printing. The initial start up of the printer is a little noisy but that is the only time. I always thought printers always sounded like they were gonna blow when setting up for the first time anyway. Like they were gonna get up and walk away. Everybody in the house loves it. Stay away from HP laptops but you cant beat their printers. And oh yes....they say that it is compatible with Windows 7 but the software that comes with the printer will not install on a win 7 computer so you will have to download it from the HP website which is easy enough

Printer Great. CD was cracked :( -- 2010-03-08 overall the printer was and is great to use.
The Printer Ink is great too for its so much cheaper to buy then the other HP printers Ive had.
Sad though, this Printer came with a cracked CD in the box. and I don't know how to get another CD. The printer is great but I had to go to the HP website and download it from their.
Best Avoided -- 2010-03-05 I've used a variety of printers over a great many years, and I have to say that this is, hands-down, the least joyful experience I've ever had with them. I know printers aren't something you're really supposed to "enjoy" - maybe I'm just weird like that - but I'm certain they aren't supposed to make you want to tear your hair out in frustration.
This model - if you have Mac OSX, as I do, anyway - is a pain to set up and use. When I go to print something, I know it won't take a few minutes, but that I will instead have to set aside a good half an hour to handle the inevitable issues that are going to pop up. The installed software is beyond useless (and customer service is the worst I've ever encountered, honestly). And worst? The ink does not last. The unit doesn't want to recognize new cartridges (and yes, I do know what I'm doing; it's not that), and when it does, well, I have to wonder that maybe, in its infinite wisdom, it was trying to tell me something?
"You seem a nice enough guy, how about I just don't recognize the cartridge, so that you'll give up and buy a new printer? Because otherwise you're going to be throwing a ton of money away on ink for me, and I like you too much to see you go through all that.... It's just not worth it."
Seems my little suicidal intelligent printer is right: it's just not worth it.
I have used other printers THAT JUST WORKED. I don't see why this one can't operate in the same way. But, trust me, it doesn't.

 | Brother HL-2170W 23ppm Laser Printer with Wireless and Wired Network Interfaces
I waited to purchase a good laser printer -- 2010-03-09 I had investigated laser printers for some time, wanting to reduce the cost of printing with my hp inkjet. I had heard good things about the Brother brand and when
this model(HL-2170w) went on sale, I couldn't pass it up. I have not been disappointed at all.
good printer -- 2010-03-08 Setup is easy if you take your time and follow the instructions carefully. Be sure and use the suggested USB install, even though wi-fi is available.
Operation is fine; haven't printed enough to evaluate cost/copy however.
Only complaint is that the paper drawer is difficult to open and somewhat flimsy, so I'm very careful not to break it.

 | HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer (CD055A#ABA)
Twice dead on arrival -- 2010-03-09 I purchased the HP Photosmart C309 and proceeded to set it up. After pushing the "on" button, it proceeded to chug away for three or four minutes, then quit, emitted an error message and all the buttons flashed. I could not turn it off, so I unplugged it and when I plugged it back in, it immediately resumed the setup mode, went for about a minute and went back to its error mode of flashing. Nothing would make it escape from that condition so I made the mistake of calling HP. After an hour of trying to speak to an operator in India who neglected to take English as a second language and trying several key stroke combinations (apply power while holding down # and 3, the same with # and 6), I was tols I could pay to have ot fixed. I respectfully told him that I would exchange it with the dealer because it was new but he could not understand so I told him good-bye. I then arranged to exchange the printer with the dealer. At 11:02 pm the next night, the Indian guy called me at home and I reminded him that there was a time difference and that there was no need for us to talk.
Round 2: The replacement printer arrived and this one made it all the way through the test page. Then I setup the wireless feature whereupon it printed the wireless test page at the end of which I smelled a burning smell and back to the same error condition from the day before.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice ....
Regret! You'll soon feel the fool if you buy this printer! -- 2010-03-08 Had it for months. It can't communicate wirelessly. If you buy this, you will regret it. I am quite proficient in PC and technical matters - this printer is only reliable in the frustration it brings. You were warned.

 | HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer
Don't buy -- 2010-03-09 We recently purchased this product for our small business. The paper feed would jamb with the amount of paper that it is supposed to hold. The print quality was terrible, the scan quality was absolutely terrible. It would jamb/freeze for no reason. There was a long delay, the printing was slow, and it was loud. It turned off in the middle of the night causing us to not receive important faxes. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with this purchase, and returned it 3 weeks after purchase.
Solid Printer -- 2010-03-08 Solidly constructed, good scanner, good print quality, good cost per page and excellent user interface. The wireless was a breeze to set up. The printer does make some noise as the printhead sets up and the paper goes along it's path. However, what do you expect with the rated printed speeds of 35ppm? If you want a solid printer with low running costs, simple user interface, good print and scan quality and easy wireless interaction look no further.

 | Brother HL-2140 Personal Laser Printer
why so inexpensive? -- 2010-03-09 Well, I'm trying to figure out why this printer was so inexpensive. It prints fast, and with good quality. Out of the box I printed a 60 page document which took only a minute or so. The printer is small, and could easily fit on top of my desk (though I keep it underneath). It has lots of options, easily adjustable in settings (I went to print->advanced and turned on the toner-saving mode).
It uses 5 Watts electricity in standby but I prefer to turn it off when not in use. Thankfully, it's ready to print within 20 seconds of flipping the power on. While printing, it does dim the lights in my old apartment, but nothing serious. Not too loud; it can be heard in the adjacent room on quiet enough days. Pages come out with a very slight bend but it's hardly perceptible, and probably unavoidable for such a small printer.
It isn't wireless, and you will have to buy your own usb cable to connect it. I've only printed 100 pages with it so far but have had no problems. Out of the box it is a 5-star printer, but I gave it 4 because I anticipate something to go wrong to justify its low price tag.
Great Value -- 2010-03-06 I am a college student who has to print a lot papers. This printer is great! I have already printed over 500 pages this semester and it is going strong. The manual duplex works pretty painlessly once you figure out how to re-insert the paper back into the tray.
If you need to print a lot of black and white documents and are tired of paying inkjet prices for fewer prints, this is a great option for you.

 | Epson Artisan 810 Wireless Touchscreen Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA52201)
Epson Printer -- 2010-03-03 I love my printer. I was concerned with the other reviews on setting up the WIFI but I did not have any issues. It works great and has great quality - I love the look of it. The auto recieve fax is perfect and is smart enough to answer faxes on its own. I do think the paper tray seems a bit flimsy but I have not had any issues or trouble. I print a lot of checks so I need to pull it out and put back in alot - which is kind of a pain. Although, I have not had a single check print incorrectly since i got it so that is spectacular!
very, very, good -- 2010-03-03 this printer is just what i wanted,so far it has done everything i want it to do. it's fast, has 2 sided printing,wi-fi
prints faster then my epson DX595 on printing disc. it's great!
