The best PC monitor I ever owned, period -- 2010-09-03
Samsung Touch Of Color T260HD 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor
Being an engineer I am pretty picky regarding PC hardware, no matter is it a memory module, motherboard or monitor.
I own this monitor during two years and use it like 16 hours per every day. It is absolutely perfect for me. I am very happy with it's colors, resolution sharpness, communication abilities and nice look.
The angle of view is also great, no glaring, no damages even at 1 pixel level, no changes at the far corners of the screen, the response time is as fast as I need. The VGA input is almost as good as the HDMI input, the quality on it depends more on the used video card. I had no sync issues ever.
Two years ago I paid for it $499 at amazon and in my opinion it worth every penny.

The best monitor I've ever used -- 2010-08-05
I bought this monitor a year ago to help with my research. As a grad student, at any one time I can have open a paper I'm writing, an important journal or article, maybe a program I've written and perhaps a web browser. With the size of this screen I can have almost everything up at once and not have to minimize anything! It works so well with the windows 7 snap feature. When I have a report I'm writing and a paper I'm citing, I can just snap one to the left and the other to the right. Instantly I can see the size of the entire page on both sides and comfortably write my paper.

Movies, text... pretty much everything looks fantastic on the monitor. I have an hdmi input from my computer and I'm going with the coax for the tv. If anybody needs to know, this worked instantly with Fedora. I've had no problems on the linux side.

The monitor is not perfect though. I do notice there is a color shift as far as brightness is concerned. If you move your head down you'll notice it get darker and lighter if you move your head up. This doesn't bother me because I always sit in the same location, but I could see how this would be a problem for somebody else. The speakers aren't particularly great, but come on... what were you expecting? I rarely watch tv on the monitor... but when I have, I've had no problem with audio quality. The only real problem I have with this? The power button! I've had it for a year and I still don't turn it on every time that I try to. As many of the other reviews mention... there's no actual button to press. Just a sensor area. So you have to try to learn to put your finger on the right location. I quickly realized the easiest way to do this was just to swipe the bottom corner with my thumb and it turns on about 80% of the time.

The monitor it self looks great. I really like the glass edge and the curve on the bottom of the monitor. I always get compliments when people see the monitor for the first time. It's size certainly gives a nice wow factor. I was originally looking for a 30" monitor... but the price jump was just ridiculous. I'm extremely happy with this monitor.

Love It -- 2010-08-29
I was truly skeptical in purchasing this HDTV/Monitor online due to what you see, is not always what you get. I figured this TV would be smaller than my previous one which was ok for a bedroom size. Since this is my first purchase of an HD component, I then analyzed what I didn't care for such as the non-sturdy stand base that, the fact that if I put my TV Monitor on top of my dresser as my previous TV was on the viewing angle became hard to see, everything was going dark the farther I go from it, the poor sound quality, and the lack of the original red, yellow and white RCA connectors.

With all said above, I found work around solutions. I purchased a TV stand to help with viewing angle, cheap amplified speaker system for better sound, and HDMI cord for my DVD player. Although my post may sound negative, I love my TV/Monitor. I've had it for a year now and I haven't found a reason why I shall replace it nor has it failed on me. I also use this to share between my cable and PC... Feels like a purchased a video card since the graphics are gorgeous on Windows 7.

I've thought about purchasing a bigger inch just solely for cable and use the 22" as a Monitor, but I'm being just greedy lol. Oh, if I didn't mention the picture/video quality is perfect. And if not in use, I just turn it off since many people have stated online that some HDTVs may experience burn-ins.

Samsung Chooses not to Upgrade Drivers -- 2010-08-17
If you plan to use this product as monitor for a computer using Windows 7, look elsewhere. Unfortunately, Samsung chooses not to upgrade their product's software..... It is completely useless unless you have previous versions of windows.

Better than I expected -- 2010-04-28
This monitor is excellent. It is crystal clear, has good colors, and the speakers are not bad, either. I like that the display is not glossy and does not have problems reflections from the windows. We bought this for our family computer that sits on a desk in our main living area. It is big enough that the monitor can sit clear back against the wall and is still very usable, and it looks good on the desk. I shopped around for a monitors quite a bit before deciding on this one. I was not disappointed when it arrived!

Does the job!! -- 2010-04-20
I purchased this monitor in March and have had no problems with it. It looks good. It was easy to unpack and install. I have no problems with it other than the fact the sound isn't as loud as I would like. I have no problem hearing the sound but when I am playing a music video or song I like to have it up pretty loud but this monitor has the built in speakers and doesn't seem to amplify as much as I would like. If you don't need a louder volume or use the sound for just normal volume levels this monitor is perfect. In the future I would purchase a monitor with the speakers not being built in.

Not very friendly -- 2010-09-04
This Monitor scores good on looks. Black and sleek looks quite stylish. However, I did not find its performance satisfactory. The picture quality was not good. The images were not sharp and the color of pictures was not a true reproduction. As I was not satisfied with the picture, I tried to adjust the colors, sharpness and contrast and was again disappointed. I found the adjustment buttons to be very unintuitive. After half an hour of trying, I could not figure it out and just gave up. Fortunately, before buying this monitor, I tried it out at a friends place and decided against buying it.

Great Monitor -- 2010-01-13
This monitor is great... I don't have any complaints. The stand went on perfectly, it probably took me 1 minute because I'm not the best when it comes to putting stuff together. BUT THIS STAND WAS A PIECE OF CAKE!!! Don't listen to all those lunatics who complain about the stand and bring the rating down. It is a great monitor!

Better than expected -- 2010-08-26
I bought this monitor as soon as I upgraded my computer. I'm currently using a ATI HD 5850 video card, so the 2560x1600 resolution is amazing. The main reason I went with this monitor was the IPS panel and the 16:10 ratio, which I prefer to the 27" 16:9. With something this big, you really need an IPS panel or you'll have some serious color problems on the sides. The 16:10 ratio means you get more space for toolbars on the top and bottom of your screen, but there will be some black bars on the top and bottom if your playing a standard DVD.

I have a blu-ray player in this computer, and it's just stunning to see the quality on this large screen. The first blu-ray I bought was Chronos, also available on amazon, and it's just incredible. If you look really closely, you don't see the pixels of the screen, you see the texture of the film! Simply awesome.

I do some graphics work but mostly 3d animation, so my main concern is size(for manipulating objects) over color reproduction quality. But I haven't noticed any inconsistencies with color reproduction compared to my other 23" IPS panel monitor that I have sitting right next to it.

Died after 14 Months -- 2010-08-02
Monitor worked for all my game interests, and much more...
Stand slipped on easy, picture was great..
Buttons for monitor would be hard to get to in a tight spot as they're on the right hand side and not easly visable.. Would have rated it higher if it had lasted longer then 14 months and it DIED..

Will not replace with another Samsung 2333sw - 23 inch

BEWARE! NO RCA COMPOSITE VIDEO INPUT - ONLY VGA! -- 2010-07-08
Love the monitor, HATE the engineering. Works great as a secondary monitor for computer, etc., but if you want to connect any peripheral composite video (RCA) source to this monitor, like a game console or a pro audio device (e.g., a digital keyboard, etc.), you'll be out of luck, and the right adapter will cost you a 'grip'!

We have four (4) different Samsung monitors here in our studio ranging from 20" to 27" and ALL of them have Composite Video (RCA) Inputs, but not this one, so if the opportunity presented itself again, I would NOT buy this monitor, period.

good monitor and is still one of the best looking monitors out there. -- 2010-06-05
So happen to stumble upon this monitor again and let me say. I absolutely love this monitor, had it for 2 years already but still loving it. specs were top notch when i got it probably not anymore but i truly believe this is still one of the best looking monitors out there. With its black glossy finish and subtle red lighting on the bottom just absolutely gorgeous.Don't believe me check out the latest Samsung monitors their designs are practically copies of this one accept without the sexy red lighting.

Whatever it lacks in specs it really makes up for with looks but thats not to say it doesn't have good features with easy to use software and other benefits like low power consumptions not to mention a 3 year warranty, you can tell that the manufacturer has but some thought and attention to detail into this product.

Manufacturer's specs:
Resolution: 1,680x1,050
Pixel-response rate: 2ms
Contrast ratio: 1000:1 / 20000:1 (dynamic)
Connectivity: DVI, VGA
HDCP compliant? Yes
Included video cables? DVI, VGA

Specs still pack a punch, so its no surprise images looks good not matter what you do (games, movies etc...) Would highly recommend this product especially at this kind of price.

Gorgeous -- 2010-06-03
I bought two of these monitors for my new, larger desk that I recently bought for my home office. I am loving it. They are gorgeous and a pleasure to work with!

Samsung Touch of Color T260 -- 2010-02-15
I bought this monitor for my wife's computer. It is a great monitor. The picture is bright and very sharp. The set up was easy, and every thing worked first time.

A great product at a good price.

Samsung TOC T260 Beware of viewing angle. -- 2010-02-06
The only major concern I have with this monitor (and it is a big one) after two months of use is the poor viewing angle. If for example, you have a full field of view photo and you move your eye level up or down several inches there will be a striking degredation of image quality. This is because you are paying for a low cost TN pannel. You can partially compensate by incrasing the viewing distance. The large size of the pannel means that your viewing angle will vary considerably from the center to edge of the image. If I had the opportunity to return this item I would now do so and spend more money on a higher quality pannel with better viewing angle. If I did't have a large screen Imac in the same room, the stark difference of image quality might not bother me as much. If you are budget limited and need a monitor of this size then this monitor is probably a good option but just be aware of this limitation.

Be careful what you order. What you buy one day and think your are ordering more the next week, the Samsung T240 is not what you -- 2010-02-23
the Samsung T240 is not what you think it is. Sometimes it looks like a TV and sometimes it is not. Got to be very careful

Big disappointment -- 2009-08-25
I am a serious photographer who spends a lot of time in PhotoShop. I foolishly bought this product believing that it was a suitable monitor for serious graphics work. Shame on me. I should have spent the money on an Apple or other serious (but not over the top) alternative. It is very fuzzy. The color, even after numerous attempts at calibration, is miles off. The controls on the side are a joke and impossible to see. I am astonished to read some reviews that acknowledge that the controls stink but go on to lavish praise on the product because it is stylish. The documentation is terrible, using abbreviations that are nowhere defined. If you want to see your email in big fuzzy letters, this may be a good machine for you. If image quality is a serious concern, look elsewhere. There are lots of alternatives out there.
