Love this netbook!! -- 2010-08-23
Got this model because I wanted solid performance with a small footprint, plus Bluetooth for my headphones, plus the ability to connect a hi-def TV to the netbook. This one really delivers. I'm able to run all of my office and programming apps with no perceptible performance drag, and have been happily watching Blu-Ray discs output to a hi-def TV via an external drive (purchased separately).

Excellent Laptop! -- 2010-08-22
This is a superb laptop! Extremely portable and lightweight. I have been using this for about one month now and it has met all of my needs. It is fast and light weight and has a nice and long 7-8 hours of battery life.

I have traveled to Michigan from Texas and enjoyed the company of this laptop...Only slight disadvantage is a that the audio is weak...a little louder volume on the laptop and i would give it 5 stars

Good Computer -- 2010-08-14
I'm happy with this computer overall, especially for the price. The battery does get a bit hot after a while, but the functionality and performance gave me no complaints.

Wow... Perfect personal computer for the travelling executive. -- 2010-08-08
This is it. I travel a lot for business, and I lug around a 14-inch top-shelf business laptop, (company property). But I wanted my own computer, my stuff, my web browser, my personal email account. And this laptop is now a part of me -- we are inseparable.

I can slip this little puppy into the same case with my $2000 laptop. I download movies off the internet for a few bucks (no optical drive -- DVDs are so 2007) and watch them on the plane. 8 hours on a charge! I can watch a 3-hour movie and a 1-hour tv episode on a plane, play a little chess are solve a few downloaded sudokus, and still show plenty of time left to stop in the airport and check my personal email.

Fast enough, smart enough, and plenty of storage (320GB). As portable as a netbook, and yet I have almost no need for my desktop at home (in fact, I could make due with just this computer and a backup portable hard drive, had I started that way). This fits the bill for my needs. This is my second Acer. Four months, perfect operation. My other is 3 years old and works nicely. Thank you Acer.

Everything I need it to be! -- 2010-07-15
I've had this since April, and have taken it to Europe and several other trips.

Wonderful machine! Super light, very quick in every-day tasks, loooong battery life, virtualization-enabled processor, etc., etc.

I run virtualbox and Ubuntu within Win7 (for my school research), and it works great. Compile times are obviously not the best, but that's not the point.
I record HDTV through a USB tuner (World cup was great!).
Netflix/hulu all good.

To those out there with low battery life and spinning fans.. check what processes are using your processor. I had a similar problem when I first got it after installing AVG antivirus (I think that was the problem), and had to "roll-back" to a time prior to the install. I no longer run it, and things work wonderfully.

My complaints:
- keyboard isn't bad, but too flat. I think a chicklet one would be better. Once your hands are "in place", it's very nice.
- Screen glare - the screen is quite good, but way too reflective. C'est la vie; laptops are most often like this now.
- Slow-ish recharge time when machine is running.
