Powered by Intel Pentium M processors, ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro graphics controller, high-resolution displays, and the ability to support both a fixed optical drive and a floppy drive. The HP Compaq Enterprise Business Notebook line offers a choice of security features and connectivity options to help customers protect their intellectual property and stay connected both inside and outside of the office. It also supports an optional integrated smart card reader to provide greater data protection and a more secure approach for user authentication. The HP Compaq nc8000 offers breadth of choice in wireless communications by delivering tri-mode or dual-mode 802.11b wireless LAN communication capabilities. The nc8000 wireless LAN solutions also support Cisco infrastructures providing enhanced security and other functionality unique to Cisco wireless LAN wireless network infrastructures. HP offers Centrino wireless LAN solutions on select nc8000 models. The nc8000 also comes standard with a gigabit LAN (10/100/1000) controller which can provide much faster throughput over today's Ethernet (10/100) and is fully backward compatible to 10/100 infrastructures.
